Well many of us were sort of disappointed by Google Inc. for not keeping their promise but it's fine as Google first announced the Lollipop 5.0 then 5.0.1, 5.0.2 and finally 5.1.
So instead of rolling out three OTA updates of Android Lollipop for their Android One devices the simply and directly worked on the Android Lollipop's 5.1 update for their Android One devices, which is a nice thing as you'll would be saving your data as the OTA Update is of 409.8MB.
1. In some of the phones a notification would have appeared and if not then you can simply go to your phone's Settings>About Phone>System Update>click on Check for Updates and that's it.
2. You'll see a notification like this

It might t take a couple of minutes as in my case it took around 10 minutes.
